Born in Glasgow but have lived in many places in Scotland and England. Settled in Alva in 1999. I have been married (to a Geordie!) for 33 years. As says below I am qualified social worker and worked for Barnardos and other voluntary organisations as well as 2 local authorities before joining NHS Fife in 2003. I retired in June 2019. I like to travel and have been to most countries in Europe having a particular weakness for cruises. In terms of hobbies I play Bridge and am, unsurprisingly, a big movie fan. I like to watch rugby and continue to hope (despite experience) for success from our national team. I am also undertaking Hospital Radio Training in Fife and hope to have a show by October 2019. I have leadership skills that I have used in my working and private life. I think I am good at bringing people together who do not necessarily have the same views and help them reach a compromise. I think I have a good sense of humor and often use humor in my day to day life. It is always good to smile.I think I can write (see short films above). I have no technical or sporting skills much to my disappointment. I think I listen well. I am a reasonably good Bridge player. This involves a lot of assessment of your partner and the opposition.
