Biography
Note - I previously worked with you a number of years ago, but stopped due to family/work committments
Left school at 16 and joined the Merchant Navy (Deck Cadet) but only stayed a few (fun filled) years as I realised this was not a long term prospect for me. Came ashore and joined a new American firm manufacturing computers, and had 40 good years with them working up from the shop floot through IT Engineering, Line Management, Production Engineering and finishing within Project Governance. Took a jump through redundancy to start afresh at something new - and while looking had a short spell as a Prison Custody Officer at the Glasgow Courts. This was only for a short while before I got a position (Project Governance) with CalMac Ferries. After a few years at this I moved to a Health & Safety role supporting the ports. As a Health & Safety Officer I then moved to Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park and had 3 good years with them before retiring February this year.
I'm married and have 2 adult children and 2 grandchildren.
Skills
Extensive work based office/IT skills as well hands-on practical in Project Management and Health & Safety.
Remain fit and active and enjoy a veriety of outdoor activities including (playing) football, fishing and walking.
