I am a 22 year old professional musician based in Scotland, working full time as a touring and session keyboardist as well as a piano/keyboard tutor. I am highly motivated, hardworking, and well presented, with a strong sense of pride in my work and a commitment to maintaining high professional standards. I currently live with my mother, father and my younger brother. I also have two older brothers who live away from home. Both my older brother and my dad have experience in the TV and Film industry with my brother being an Assistant Director, previously a runner, and my father has been working as a TV and Film extra for the past 13 months.
I have lived in Scotland my entire life and was educated locally in Prestonpans, East Lothian, completing both my primary and secondary education there. In 2021, I began studying music at Edinburgh College before transferring to Edinburgh Napier University in 2022, where I graduated with a First Class Honours degree in Music in July 2025.
My professional working life began at the age of 16 in August 2020, when I took my first job in a local sandwich shop. I worked there for almost three years before leaving in May 2023 to pursue music professionally. During this time, I worked part time as a performing musician, playing regularly in pubs and clubs across Scotland and touring the UK as part of a wedding band. This experience allowed me to build strong performance skills, professionalism, and a reliable network within the industry, leading me to work full time in music. Whilst I continue to perform at pubs, clubs and weddings around the UK, I now work primarily as a freelance session musician, performing, recording, and writing with a range of up and coming artists across Scotland, including Katie Nicoll, Joe Goodall, and Rhys Heaven. With these artists, my work has included writing and recording in collaboration with major UK producers, such as platinum award winning producer and mixer Chris Marshall. Additionally, I have performed live in well known venues across the country including King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut and The Big Top, supporting and sharing stages with artists such as Ben Walker, Cammy Barnes, and Toploader. In April 2025, I expanded my career into music education, taking on the role of Head Piano/Keyboard Tutor at a newly established music school in Rosyth where I have obtained a Disclosure Scotland PVG Scheme Membership. Alongside performance, teaching has become a key part of my professional identity, allowing me to share my experience and support the development of upcoming musicians.
Whilst music remains as my full time profession. It is also an active hobby for me. I always look to develop my skills whether that is in music production, composition, or learning another instrument. Outside of music, I maintain an active lifestyle through regular gym training, running, and playing rugby for Preston Lodge RFC. I also enjoy video games in my free time.
