Hi there, I am a retired Detective Superintendent having served 29 years with police Scotland in a number of roles, including 10 years as a Senior Investigating Officer within the Major Crime Team leading some of Scotland’s most high profile crimes and major incidents. During my service I have been deployed as a Crime Scene Manager, Family Liaison Officer and Interview Advisor. I have experience in lecturing, chairing media news interviews and I am confident at public speaking. I have previously owned a house and garden maintenance business and as a former mechanic I can turn my hand to any household task. I am also a professional Funeral Celebrant. To relax I try and get a tune out my guitar and enjoy murdering a song or two. On a personal side I am married with two grown up children and keep busy cycling and walking. I am recently retired and looking to do something interesting to fill my time.
I have been involved and interviewed for a number of tv documentaries, including Murdertown and Disclosure: The Murder of Karen Buckley.
Public speaking and lecturing/presenting. Taking direction in ingrained in me and understand the the overall objective can be larger than what’s going on around me.
I can ride a motorcycle should the need arise.
I am physically fit and as a ex police officer used to taking direction.
I consider myself to be friendly, outgoing and a good commutator. Nice guy really.
