I was born in Plymouth, Devon. My mum was born in Australia in the outback, on a remote farm, 10 miles from Werrimull in the state of Victoria. In 1981, in order to apply for a passport, she had to register her own birth (I have the proof). My dad was also born in Devon and we moved to Glasgow via Wales, as my dad's career (as an academic), took us gradually north. My wife, my son and daughter are all Scottish born. Was a singer/guitar player in a Glasgow city pub, for a few years from August 1977, ironically, I started this the night Elvis died. Plus I was a drummer/vocalist with a Stirlingshire band in the mid 70's. I was a volunteer presenter with Hospital Radio Paisley for 2 years from 1984-1986, prior to the birth of my daughter. I also won £100 in a vocal talent contest in February 1979 at the Riverside Tavern in Hutchieson Town, Glasgow.
Am a great communicator. Very outgoing, sociable, and self confident. A team player. A people person. Have a great command of English, and with voice coaching, other dialects. I am quite "out there", I wear a plain hoop earring in my left ear, and green tinted glasses. I am not averse to wearing 'loud shirts' if needed. Has worn platform boots.
