I'm 81 years old, fit and healthy, living alone and enjoy meeting people and trying anything new. In 1971, I graduated from Strathclyde University with a 2/1 honours degree in politics and sociology and spent 40 years in journalism and book publishing, always in non-fiction and often in education. I can row, on a river, and ride a horse, but don't currently do either of those and I took ballroom dancing lessons for about three years until lock-down spoiled all that. I regularly enjoy playing golf, but not to a high standard. I am five feet eight tall, weigh under 12 stone or 76 kilos, so look reasonably slim.
As noted above, I can ride a horse and row. I've driven most road vehicles, cars, large vans, rigid lorries, buses and hackney cabs, but not motor bikes. I used to teach public speaking to HRM managers and I can speak confidently, coherently and slowly, on any subject, if I'm given five or ten minutes to read a script.
