Biography

I have spent my working life engaged in the Hospitality Industry, training in Hotel Management, before concentrating in Food and Beverage domain's
This covered employment in France and Spain
I developed my own business in Aviemore , The Old Bridge Inn, to an award winning restaurant and bar with the addition of a Bunk house.

I still retain an interest in the business as director , but no longer actively participate in the management

I have an abiding love of my country , and enjoy frequent activities such as skiing, golf, mountain biking and Munro ascending , as well as forest bathing and observing wild life
My wife and i have 7 grown up children and an amazing 11 grand children.
Keeping up with them and actively engaging with their pursuits is a regular occurrence
Since moving to Lanark , I enjoy assisting various charities in their endeavours
I am still quite active and enjoy pursuing many activities
I am a keen sailor , and have sailed the Atlantic and Pacific oceans

Skills

My main skill is in meeting people especially from different countries and communicating fully about life styles, their passions and aspirations
I am a qualified blue water sailor and have found being in a sailing boat with unknown weather conditions for a number of weeks brings out your own and others strengths and weaknesses, creating strong bonds
I am an IAM motor cyclist and car driver
I hold First Aid certification, due for renewal
I have conversational French and Spanish, also studying Italian
I enjoy sharing sports activities with others
I love all aspects of nature , enjoying field trips with my grand children
