Biography
I help run my own family farming business which is a mixed production of sheep, cattle and arable. I also produce competition horses and I am a fully qualified equestrian coach. I have worked on various filming productions already including Outlander Seasons 7 & 8, Blood of My Blood Season 1, Traitors UK Season 2 & USA, Borges & Me and a German production which was filmed on the Isle of Skye. All of my previous filming experience has been behind the scenes working with the on set horses. This includes all horse care and management on and off set, cast and crew safety when cast and crew are in close proximity to the horses and working alongside the Horse Master, Stunt Coordinator and actors. During Outlander S8 & Blood of My Blood S1, I was involved as part of the core horse team. I helped give regular horse riding lessons to the main actors of Blood Of My Blood before filming began. I was used in costume in Blood of My Blood in April 2024 for a scene that required a female horse handler in shot.
Skills
I pride myself in being punctual, polite and understanding. Due to my many hours experience on various productions sets, I am fully aware of the early starts and long hours that are required. I am knowledgeable on a wide variety of animal care and husbandry including vast experience with farm animals, horses and domesticated pets. I also hold my full UK Cat 1 (artic) HGV licence.
I am also a director of the Royal Highland Agricultural Society of Scotland (RHASS). I am experienced in working within a team environment and being a part of decision making.
