I was born in Falkirk and grew up in Renfrewshire. After I graduated from the University of Edinburgh my (then) husband and I spent time living in Dubai, Cairo and Brussels. We settled back in the UK, firstly in West Yorkshire and then in the Scottish Borders. Once my two children were a little older I had time to be able to indulge my love of amateur dramatics, both in more serious productions and in an annual local revue show. For the last 12 years I have been an active member of a local performance choir, and this is where I met my second husband. I worked in admin and as a PA in a Higher Education Institution for 17 years until recently taking early retirement.
I have a current clean driving licence. I am can touch type and am a competent singer, swimmer, knitter, cook/baker, cyclist, skier and I can snorkel.
