Biography
Hi. My name is Erin nelson. I am a 16 year old girl from Glasgow, Scotland who has a passion for dancing and a dream of becoming a professional dancer one day. I have been dancing for my dance school for around 7 years now and it is something I love and am driven by. I have autism/dyslexia, so I struggle sometimes with a lot in life, but when I found dance I discovered that it was a way to express myself and keeps me off the streets. I also participate in freestyle dance competitions and I have been very successful in every single one, gaining so many trophies. I recently auditioned for Matilda the musical which I have been successful with and will be taking to the SEC stage in March 202. I hope this can open so many opportunities for my future within dance/acting industry. I am currently still at secondary school and doing so well in Drama and love to act. It is my dream to be on TV, I aspire to work so hard that I make a good future and career to show others anything is possible and that if you dream hard enough, work hard enough and believe hard enough then anything can be achieved. I have great communication, team working, emotional management and empathy for other skills. As a dancer I have a variety of skills, including technical, performance and soft skill. Technical skills include strength, control, coordination and the ability to perform technical movements, leaps, turns and acrobatic tricks. Performance skills include focus, projection, musicality, timing, emphasis and expression. Soft skills include creativity, flexibility, patience, perseverance and the ability to deal with complexity and uncertainty. Some other skills I have are body awareness and control, posture, balance and weight and a range of motion.
